Let Lieberman stay in the caucus, but strip him of seniority. He isn't a Democrat any more, unless he'll flip-flop (yet again). If Lieberman was a true Independent, he would renounce the chairmanship.

Let Lieberman stay in his home. He has endangered the nation by not holding Bush accountable.

Great. An anonymous blog supporting Joe Lieberman. Sounds like an inside job to me.

CT Bob,
This blog is definitely not an inside job. I'm just trying to give a voice to silent majority who support Senator Lieberman and feel it would be petty and unjust to strip him of his Chairmanship positions after he caucused with the party (which had abandoned him in support of Ned Lemont) for the past two years. In any event, I appreciate you taking the time to comment.
P.S.
What does Halliburton have to do with Lieberman? C'mon, lets not get hysterical.

It was a joke; if you saw the SNL recently when Ben Affleck did his Keith Olbermann impersonation, you would have totally gotten it.

Sadly, text doesn't convey my impressions very well.

And I guess you haven't seen any of the polls from the last two years; Joe Lieberman most definitely does NOT have the support of a majority, silent or otherwise.

He can stay in the caucus if he wants, I just don't want him to use his position of power as a GOP bludgeon against the Democrats. Anyone who campaigns so enthusiastically for the opposition, and not just for McCain, is going to be a problem for the Democrats.

Okay, so let the turncoat stay and see if his colors change. But DO NOT LET HIM KEEP THE CHAIRMANSHIP OF HOMELAND SECURITY. This is the man who supported McCain AND Sarah Palin against Barack Obama, making vicious comments about Obama – and who now wants to come back into the pack with his tail between his legs. He is also the man who heads one of the most corrupt and bloated (under HIS stewardship) departments in the government, and it does not even do the job for which it was so-hastily created. Why would anyone want this weasel to stay in charge of such an important and EXPENSIVE department? And why should anyone trust him to vote with the Democrats now? Remember Joe, the guy who did not accept his own party's rejection of him but rather chose to desert his party and go independent rather than lose his senatorial powers?
As I said, 'let him stay' if you must, but NOT as chairman of Homeland Security - that is what would terrify me!

He did accept his party's rejection of him. He ran as an Independent, remember? And instead of holding that "rejection" against his party, he caucused with them and helped give them the Senate majority for the past two years.

That's not acceptance. He ran in the Democratic primaries - an honest man would either have run as an independent from the start, or he would have supported the guy who won the primaries. That's what many other politicians have done. Hillary Clinton didn't run as an independent candidate against Obama, she helped him win.

Lieberman ran as an Independent because he understood that the Connecticut primaries were only a small non-representative sampling of the state's population. The general election showed that he was right.

ONCE AGAIN!LET ME EXPLAIN OUR POLITICAL SYSTEM TO YOU... He only represents the silent majority of Connecticut voters.. DO YOU GET THIS???? If you don't live there, he has nothing to do with you. Unless, of course, you are him....

As a Democrat who is disgusted by watching his party turn to revenge and pettiness, this does involve me.
